Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university degree program

Be in the sophomore year and classified as a rising junior, OR transferring to a 4-year college/university with junior status

Be in good academic and social standing at the time of application

Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Descendants of Lincoln Memorial High School (LMHS) graduates

Descendants of Lincoln Memorial Middle School (LMMS) graduates

LMMS graduates currently in their sophomore year of college

Q: Is an essay required? A: Yes. Applicants must submit a written essay in response to the prompt(s) provided in the application.
Q: Are transcripts required? A: Yes. Both high school and college transcripts are required. High school transcripts will be used to verify past enrollment at LMMS (if applicable).
Q: How do I show proof of my relationship to an LMHS or LMMS graduate? A: You will need to list the alum’s name and your relationship on the application. If applicable, please provide the maiden name of female relatives for verification.
Q: How will I know if my application is complete? A: Each applicant will create a secure login profile. You can track your application status by logging into your account on this website.
Q: Can dual enrollment students apply? A: No. Students whose initial college enrollment is through dual enrollment and who achieve junior standing before full-time enrollment are not eligible.
Q: Can I reapply if I am not selected? A: Yes. If you meet the eligibility requirements in future award cycles, you are welcome to reapply.
Q: When will the scholarship recipient be announced? A: The recipient will be notified by August 1, 2026, and the announcement will also be shared on this website.
